Mud Pumps

  • A drilling rig mud pump is used to circulate drilling fluid or drilling mud into the bore hole to help cool, lubricate and clean the drill head as it bores into the ground. The drilling mud is also used to suspend and carry out drill cuttings from the drill head as it is brought in and out of the hole. This ensures that the drill does not clog and overheat, and makes the entire drilling operation smooth and safe.Drilling rig mud pumps are usually reciprocating type pumps that basically work by drawing a fluid into a chamber or cylinder by the action of a piston, plunger or diaphragm, and then pushing it out to the needed direction through the use of one-way or check valves, resulting in the pulsed flow of the liquid in one direction. Ganging multiple pumps together increases the pump efficiency and provides a smoother liquid flow for better performance.

The action of the pump is used to draw out the drilling fluid from the bore hole, which is then filtered and cleared of impurities before being sent back in to cool and lubricate the drill head, and remove more drill cuttings. A failed pump will cause a disrupted flow of the drilling mud, which can cause the drill head to overheat or jam from cuttings and possibly even break. This can result in damage to the drilling equipment, and potentially cause injury to the drilling crew near the drilling rig. (https://watersintl.com/drilling-rig-mud-pump-work/)

My friend JU

I talk a lot with JU. He has taught me a lot. So, I decided to dedicate a whole chapter to him. To remember. It is a lot of material (this chapter is still under construction).

  • General
    • Europe towards the west ends in the east side of the Pirinees. To the west of the Pirinees there is a quite large island on the Atlantic: that is Spanish in Europe and every where else.
  • Music
  • Language
      • German is in English. Tedesco in Italiano. Germany in English, la Germania in Italiano.
      • What is the difference between Germany and Deustschland? There is no difference at all, Germany and Deutschland means country Germany in English and German languages respectively. Moreover Germany is also known as Almania in French language. (https://www.quora.com/What-are-the-differences-between-Germany-and-Deutschland).
      • “Tenere”: quando si usa e quando non si usa. Tienilo a mente! | UIV Lezioni di italiano❤️🇮🇹1°parte
      • Read this article in detail. It is about the double consonant in Italiano. An article by Enciclopedia Treccani. Every article I read from Treccani are excellent in detail:
      • To read in Italiano, without translation, articles from Treccani , takes to me a long time: 1) unless I can understand , I need to constantly refer to the dictionary ( forbidding translation dictionary) to understand all the words and uses of them that I don’t get. I think , doing it this way, it can help to understand a bit better the historical and cultural events in which the language exists. One can also see this way that grammar and grammatical are reactions to reality as language are created by people to whom grammarians have to follow. Obviously , grammar and grammarians feed back to people, but language is expression of the life of people.
      • How can possibly any one learn any language in no time and mechanically by listening to translations, explanations, descriptions of those tempting you to spend your time and money in their website: impossible.
To know a language means to be able at a conglomerate of things of that language: to understand it, to speak using it and being understood by someone using that same language , for which one needs to think in that language and write in that language with certain proficiency so as to be able to continue to evolve in that language. All that requires lots of interest, dedication and commitment and most of all: practice.
The guy that sits down in a class expecting (confused) that the Teacher will put / insert knowledge in him, that learning is the result of a Teacher and just by going to a “class” one learns; that guy will abandon the school or sit there wasting the time. We learn with our interest and dedication and concentration and skills and intelligence. The Teacher and the class are guidances, managers, organizers, so the better they are at that the better we can learn anything in life, especially at school.
      • “An” habit or “a” habit?
        • “A habit” , otherwise it makes a consonant followed by another consonant: there are people (native English speakers) using it as: an <word beginning in consonant>
          • This is similar in Italiano wit the “d” eufonica: Io vado a casa. Ad essemio, etc .
          • It is the Spanish (and Portuguese) language not having the consonante eufónica, to use between a mono syllable and the following word beginning on a vowel. I try myself to use the “d” eufónica (following the Official Italiano : Il Fiorentino) when writing in Castellano, but I can’t avoid thinking that the rest see me as as brainless stupid when reading such a thing, yet it is beautiful for the language.
